Another Tornado Ravages Oklahoma Town

Another Tornado Ravages Oklahoma Town

Barnsdall Suffers Second Tornado in Five Weeks

At Least 30 to 40 Homes Damaged, One Person Killed

Less than two months after a tornado devastated the Oklahoma town of Barnsdall, another twister ripped through the area overnight, claiming the life of one person and leaving dozens of homes damaged.

The National Weather Service confirmed that the tornado touched down near Barnsdall around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and traveled for about two miles before dissipating. The tornado's maximum wind speeds were estimated at 110 mph.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that around 30 to 40 homes were damaged in the Barnsdall area, which was also hit by a tornado on April 1. That twister, with maximum wind speeds of 90 to 100 mph, damaged homes and blew roofs off buildings.

Barnsdall Mayor David Brown said the town is still reeling from the effects of the first tornado and is now facing the aftermath of another destructive storm.

"We're just asking for prayers and support from the community," Brown said. "We're going to get through this together."
