The First Portrait of King Charles III Unveiled
Buckingham Palace unveils the first official painted portrait of King Charles III since his coronation.
Artist Jonathan Yeo was commissioned to paint the portrait, which will hang in public buildings across the United Kingdom.
The portrait, which was unveiled on Tuesday, shows the King in a blue suit and a red tie. He is seated in a chair, with his hands clasped in front of him. The background of the portrait is a landscape of Buckingham Palace.
Yeo said that he wanted to capture the King's "warmth and humanity" in the portrait. He said that he spent several hours talking to the King about his life and his vision for the country.
The portrait will be displayed in public buildings across the United Kingdom, including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and the Houses of Parliament.
