West Indies Eliminated as Proteas Hold Nerve

Proteas Edge Past Windies in Rain-Curtailed Thriller

South Africa have booked their place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup alongside England after a thrilling victory over hosts West Indies on Tuesday night.

Set a target of 164 in a rain-reduced match, the Proteas' top order collapsed, leaving them reeling at 93-4. However, a brilliant partnership between Heinrich Klaasen and Tristan Stubbs steadied the ship, with Klaasen scoring a vital 61 off 40 balls.

Despite a late fightback from Windies, South Africa held on to win by three wickets via the DLS method. The result eliminated West Indies from the tournament, paving the way for South Africa and England to advance to the final four.
